Ahimsa Yoga with Astrid Tylla

While travelling in India in the 80s I was introduced to yoga and meditation. However, it wasn’t until further visits that I became really interested in the art of yoga.

I believe a daily practice is essential for finding and maintaining a balance in life, both on and off the mat.

For me, yoga is a holistic approach to physical and mental health, as well as personal growth and spiritual practice. Yoga also helps to become aware of stress and anxiety and to be able to manage them effectively.

In 2011 I graduated as a certified yoga teacher with over 350 hours of assisting practice in both general yoga for beginners and pregnancy as well as therapeutic yoga. I have been teaching group and private yoga since.

As a yoga teacher, my aim is to help others to find physical, mental and emotional health, happiness and peace.

A registered member of Yoga Australia, Astrid continues to develop her own personal practice and her professional teaching skills, expanding her knowledge and experience in all areas of yoga.

Astrid is a teacher of The Cancer Council Western Australia, bringing yoga to people with cancer.
